Ocasio-Cortez Says ‘Where We Are’ As Americans Is ‘Garbage’

Ocasio-Cortez sat down with The Intercept’s senior politics editor Briahna Gray to talk about the progressive left’s next move.
“What’s really hard for people to sometimes see is that we are on this path of a slow erosion, and a slow slow slow just like — move away from what we’ve always been,” Ocasio-Cortez began by explaining how she feels that America has moved away from what it should be. “You won’t even realize that you’ve drifted a hundred miles.”
She then appeared to suggest that her Democratic Socialist policies represent core American values, arguing that we had just strayed so far from them that we couldn’t recognize them anymore. “So when someone’s talking about ‘our core,’ they’re like, ‘oh, this is radical,’ but it isn’t radical. This is what we’ve always been,” she said.

More couldn’t be false. We are drifting….away from our core values, what we were established upon. Were there mistakes made along the way? Yes. But history cant be rewritten so we start where we are today. These leftists are the problem. They throw the race card, the bigot card and islamophobic card around soooooo loosely. When being objective it is they who are creating divisions. We are America, these world power. It didn’t come easy and it takes effort to stay on top. If the leftists dont like it, then please leave. Go to a society that embraces your ideals. Like Trump said, I dont see these anti-American people leaving to go to socialist countries. We dont need this disruptive rhetoric with huge holes in her green deal. It’s not thought through people! But that’s been the demos problem for years. No agenda that makes sense. If your on a plane but for some reason dont like the pilot, do you wish for him to fail as a pilot? Of course not. Trump is our pilot right now and good things are happening but for almost 3 years they still haven’t got over the FACT the American people wanted change from the previous 8 years. We should unite as Americans . Not dems or Republicans
